Vitality Recruitment is recruiting a Roof Plumber / Roofer on behalf of Werschmann Roofing Pty Ltd for this position.The successful candidate will be employed directly by Werschmann Roofing, with Vitality Recruitment managing the advertising and recruitment process on their behalf.About UsWerschmann Roofing is a growing Brisbane-based roofing company specialising in metal roof replacements, new metal roofing and associated roof plumbing works across Brisbane and surrounding areas.Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and qualified Roof Plumber / Roofer to join our team on a full-time basis.About the RoleThe successful applicant will work across a range of residential and commercial roofing projects, with a robust focus on metal roofing and roof replacements.You will be responsible for carrying out roofing and roof plumbing works safely, efficiently and to a high standard of workmanship while working both independently and as part of our roofing team.Key ResponsibilitiesRemoval of existing roofing materials and preparation of roof areasInstallation of metal roof sheeting, including corrugated and concealed-fix roofing systemsInstallation and replacement of gutters, downpipes and associated rainwater goodsInstallation of ridge cappings, barge cappings, apron flashings, soaker flashings and other roof flashingsInstallation of box gutters, valleys, rainheads and associated drainage components where requiredInstallation of roof insulation, sarking and roof underlays where requiredInstallation and replacement of roof battens and associated components where requiredInstallation and flashing of roof penetrations, vents and skylights where requiredMeasuring, cutting and forming roofing materials and flashingsReading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specificationsIdentifying and rectifying roofing defects,



leaks and water-ingress issuesCarrying out roof repairs and maintenance works where requiredWorking safely at heights and in accordance with WHS requirementsMaintaining a high standard of workmanship, site presentation and cleanlinessWorking effectively both independently and as part of a roofing crewAbout YouThe successful applicant will ideally have:A completed trade qualification in roofing, roof plumbing or an equivalent recognised overseas roofing tradeRelevant practical experience as a qualified roofer, roof plumber or metal rooferStrong practical knowledge of metal roofing systems and installation methodsExperience with metal roof sheeting, gutters, flashings and associated roof componentsAbility to accurately measure, cut and install roofing materialsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanshipGood practical problem-solving skillsAbility to work safely at heightsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and organisational skillsCurrent driver's licenceConstruction White Card or ability to obtain oneAustralian working rights or eligibility to obtain an appropriate Australian work visaExperience with Colorbond and Zincalume roofing systems, metal roof replacements and architectural metal roofing will be highly regarded.Applicants with a completed overseas roofing apprenticeship or recognised trade qualification, including qualified European roofers, are encouraged to apply.What We Offer$85,000 – $110,000 + Superannuation, depending on qualifications and experienceFull-time, long-term employmentConsistent work across Brisbane and surrounding areasResidential and commercial roofing projectsProfessional equipment and working environmentSupportive and experienced teamLong-term career development opportunitiesOpportunity to grow with an expanding roofing companyWe are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well within a team and is interested in a long-term position with Werschmann Roofing.Werschmann Roofing Pty LtdBrisbane, QLD
