A Better Life Home Care Services Pty Ltd – Mount Waverley VICA Better Life Home Care Services Pty Ltd is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis.
Based in Mount Waverley VIC, this role offers the flexibility of casual work whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with varying support needs, helping them to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life within their own homes and communities.Key responsibilitiesAssist clients with personal care activities including hygiene, grooming, dressing and toiletingProvide mobility assistance and help clients move safely and comfortablySupport clients with meal preparation and feeding as requiredAssist with household tasks such as light cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe living environmentProvide companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing and social inclusionSupport clients in accessing community activities and social engagement opportunitiesMonitor and report on client health, safety and wellbeing concerns to relevant team membersMaintain accurate and timely documentation of support provided and any incidents or changes in client needsRespect client privacy, dignity and rights at all times in accordance with disability support standardsWork collaboratively with other support staff, family members and healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated careWhat we're looking forA genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and promoting their independence and wellbeingExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clientsPhysical capability to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasksPatience,
