Contact Name Tracy Davidson - Talent Acquisition SpecialistAbout the RoleWe are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Ahrens Silos team at our Kent Town office.Reporting to the Executive General Manager, you'll manage the design and technical detail behind the Silos product range, driving product improvements and developing new products from concept through to manufacture.What You'll Be DoingDevelop detailed 3D models, production drawings and specifications in Autodesk InventorManage engineering data and documentation within the Autodesk Vault PDM systemCoordinate engineering certification requirements across the silo product rangeReview specifications and drawings to ensure designs meet project, manufacturing and compliance requirementsApply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to deliver effective, cost-effective production outcomesPrepare installation instructions and supporting documentationAssist with material take-offs, manufacturing requirements and cost estimatingPartner with clients, Operations and Production Managers to resolve technical issues and deliver practical solutionsWhat You'll BringDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in a similar roleMinimum 3-5 years' experience in a design and drafting environment,



with advanced Autodesk Inventor skillsStrong working knowledge of Autodesk Vault, including document control and drawing managementExperience in sheet metal and light structural steel design and associated manufacturing processesSound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, including AS****Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy in engineering documentationHighly regarded:Design, drafting or fabrication of materials handling equipmentExperience in the agricultural manufacturing or engineering sectorKnowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologiesJoin a growth-focused, values-driven business where your expertise makes a real impact.
