Job Description
About the Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, the casual Warehouse Operator is responsible for supporting efficient warehouse operations through the safe handling, movement, storage and processing of goods.
Role responsibilities include:
Loading and unloading goods from containers, trucks, trailers, and other storage areasTransporting materials throughout the production facilitySupporting inter-warehouse stock and supply movement via dedicated shuttle truckPicking, packing, labelling and dispatching outbound cartonsVerifying all inbound and outbound goods against documentation including manifests and pick-slipsMaintaining accurate inventory records and supporting stock control processesEnsuring stock integrity through appropriate handling, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) and quality standardsSupporting stock level management to meet operational requirementsMaintaining warehouse equipment, coordinating servicing and repairs,



and ensuring equipment is safely shut down at the end of each dayCompleting routine forklift and equipment inspectionsMaintaining warehouse cleanliness and 5S standards across warehouse and waste collection areasSupporting other duties as required by the Warehouse & Distribution team
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
The successful candidate will have experience working in a busy warehouse environment with an understanding of basic warehousing principles and practices.
You will also have:
A forklift licence with experience operating in a warehouse environment (reach forklift experience highly desirable)Current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence highly desirableAbility to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also taking initiative and working independently when requiredStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate recordsGood numeracy, literacy and computer skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGood physical fitness and the ability to safely undertake manual handling tasksCommitment to maintaining a safe working environmentFlexibility to work rotating shifts, including night shiftGood mechanical aptitudeCurrent driver's licence
