Receptionist + Surgical Dental Assistant + Plastic Surgeon assistantDental Assistant / Receptionist – Specialist SurgicalPractice$35–$45/hr | 2–4 Days Per Week | No Required Weekends | Wagga Wagga + AlburyWagga Wagga Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (WWOMS) and Albury Wodonga Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AWOMS) are looking for a friendly and motivated Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our specialist surgical team.With our brand-recent Wagga rooms now open, this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Oral Surgeons, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons in a varied role combining dental assisting, reception, administration and patient care.Some days will be primarily reception and administration, while others will involve assisting our surgeons with procedures, operating theatre work and IV sedation sessions.Previous dental assisting experience is strongly preferred.

depending on experience and qualifications.Wagga Wagga + Albury | Up to 4 days per weekFor someone happy to travel and looking for more hours, we can offer a larger role working across both practices – generally two days in Wagga and two days in Albury each week.For the right experienced applicant working across both locations, remuneration may be up to approximately $45 per hour.What You'll Be DoingChairside and surgical assistingPreparing and turning over procedure roomsAssisting during consultations and surgical proceduresAssisting with IV sedation sessions and operating theatre proceduresReception, phones, emails and patient enquiriesAppointment scheduling and patient recordsTreatment coordinationLiaising with private hospitals and other healthcare providersMedicare and private health fund billingGeneral practice administrationWho We're Looking ForIdeally, you'll have previous dental assisting experience and be someone who enjoys both the clinical and patient-facing sides of a practice.You'll need to be comfortable around blood, extractions and surgical procedures, have excellent communication and organisational skills, and be happy moving between clinical assisting and reception/administration.Previous oral and maxillofacial surgery experience is not required – we'll teach you the specialist aspects of the role.Desirable, But Not EssentialCertificate III or IV in Dental AssistingExperience using GentuOral surgery or surgical assisting experienceIV sedation or theatre experienceMedicare/private health fund billing experienceWhy Join Us?
