Our client is a respected organisation within the transport sector, providing essential services across Sydney. They are seeking an experienced HR qualified to join the team on a three month contract while they complete the recruitment process for a permanent position.

About the role
n
Reporting into the HR leadership team, you will partner with operational leaders to provide practical HR support across a broad range of employee relations matters.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Advising managers on employee relations matters including performance, misconduct and attendance
n
Conducting workplace investigations and managing casework
n
Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and company policies
n
Working within a unionised setting and supporting leaders through union related matters
n
Building positive relationships with union representatives and key stakeholders
n
Coaching leaders on people related issues and best practice processes
n
Supporting day to day HR administration and documentation as required
n
n
This role is based in Pyrmont and requires a strong onsite presence.
n
About you
n
You are an experienced HR Advisor or HR Business Partner who enjoys working closely with operational leaders and providing practical solutions to people challenges.
n
You will bring:
n
n
Proven employee relations experience, including investigations and case management
n
Solid knowledge of Awards and Enterprise Agreements
n
Experience within blue collar, operational or industrial settings
n
Exposure to working within a unionised workforce
n
Confidence partnering with leaders through complex people mattersStrong stakeholder management and communication skills
n
A hands on, proactive and solutions focused approach
n
n
To be successful in this role, you will be comfortable operating in a unionised environment and working closely with leaders to navigate a range of employee relations issues.
