About Us
Main Cable Hauling Pty Ltd is a leading underground cabling contractor, recognised for our strong safety culture, quality workmanship and reliability.Due to continued growth, we are expanding our cable recovery crews on a major project in Seaford and are seeking hardworking, reliable Labourers with truck licences, Electricians, and Telco/Electrical Leading Hands to join our team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for motivated qualified tradesmen and construction workers seeking steady work and long-term career progression.
You will work on-site as part of a cable recovery crew supporting a large-scale infrastructure project, with opportunities to upskill and progress into future roles across telecommunications, utilities, and renewable energy projects.
We are delivering this project for a Tier 1 customer and require
Strict adherence to PPE requirements
Solid commitment to safety procedures
Reliable self-motivated team members that will meet or exceed our delivery targets
This is a physically demanding role, well suited to workers who enjoy hands-on, active work, outdoors.
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
Minimum 1–2 years construction industry experience
MR or HR truck licence with confident manual gearbox skills
Minimum 1–2 years manual truck driving experience
Valid White Card and Driver's Licence
Physically fit and able to perform the tasks




Strong commitment to PPE compliance
Clean Police Check (No Reportable Outcomes)
Punctual, reliable, and with own transport
Permanent Australian work rights
Leading Hands - additional requirements
Ability to run a small team, co-ordinate tasks for the day
Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings
Ability to use electronic devices and apps (iPad)
Understand Telco networks, NBN and other infrastructure
Supervise the team to ensure PPE compliance and safety
Highly Regarded (but not essential)
Qualified Electricians to work across this project and other electrical projects
Experience with mini skid steer loaders and/or small excavators (up to 5T), including operating, load/unload from float, basic maintenance and pre-start checks
Experience with general roadside work, establishing exclusion zones and work areas, pedestrian pathways, public interaction
Telecommunications, Electrical or other underground services experience, including cable installation, winching, trenching, pit and pipe construction, civil construction, dewatering, etc
General construction knowledge like to safely operate and maintain small engines, electrical tools, test tools, laser levels, hand held radios, service locating equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic tools and equipment, hand tools
