Alamarah Capital is seeking an In House Accountant to join our finance team on a casual basis.
This position is based in Geelong, VIC **** and offers flexibility for the right candidate.
As an In House Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and compliance of our organisation.
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting our leadership team with timely financial information to drive business decisions.What you'll be doingProcessing and recording financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entriesPreparing and reconciling bank statements, balance sheets, and other financial accounts on a regular basisAssisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statementsMaintaining accurate and organised financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policiesSupporting the audit process by preparing documentation and responding to auditor enquiriesAssisting with financial reporting and analysis to support management decision-makingManaging invoicing, billing and collections activitiesPerforming month-end and year-end close proceduresLiaising with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors as requiredWhat we're looking forA relevant accounting qualification such as a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting,



or equivalent experience in a similar accounting roleProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelStrong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practicesExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsThe ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleaguesFamiliarity with payroll and tax compliance processesExperience in financial reporting and statement preparation is highly desirableA commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional accounting standardsWhat we offerAlamarah Capital is committed to supporting our employees with a range of benefits and opportunities for professional development.
