Senior Retail Assistant – Giftorium | Myer Melbourne CBD
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Senior Retail Assistant to join our team at the Giftorium within Myer Melbourne CBD for the busy Christmas trading period.
This is a seasonal opportunity running from 24 September **** to 1 January ****.
As the Senior Retail Assistant, you will represent the S.Kidman brand while supporting and coordinating the Retail Assistant team during the busy Christmas trading period.

About the Role
As the Senior Retail Assistant, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the Giftorium at Myer Melbourne CBD and provide support and guidance to the Retail Assistant team.
You will be responsible for helping ensure the team is rostered appropriately, the Giftorium is well presented and customers receive a great experience.
Your duties will include:




Supporting and coordinating the Retail Assistant teamPreparing and managing staff rostersEnsuring the Giftorium is appropriately staffed across trading hoursProviding guidance and support to Retail AssistantsLeading by example in customer service and salesAssisting customers with product selectionProcessing sales and handling paymentsMaintaining a clean and organised retail areaSupporting the team during busy trading periodsAssisting with general retail duties as requiredCommunicating any issues or requirements to the relevant team members
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous retail experience, ideally in a senior or supervisory roleIs confident supporting and coordinating a small retail teamHas experience preparing or managing staff rostersEnjoys working with customersIs reliable, organised and well presentedCan work well in a busy retail environmentHas a friendly and approachable mannerTakes pride in providing positive customer serviceIs comfortable taking responsibility and working independently
Christmas Trading Availability
This is a seasonal Christmas retail position, so availability during the busy trading period is essential.
You will need to be:
Available to work across all 7 days of tradingAvailable to work weekends and public holidaysAvailable to work extended trading hours during the Christmas periodAvailable from 24 September **** to 1 January ****
Christmas Day will be the only planned trading day off.
