TOM People and I are partnering with a leading Australian organisation to appoint a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role acts as a trusted commercial partner to senior technology and business leaders, delivering financial insights, strategic analysis and performance management across a complex and quick-paced environment. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, business case development, investment analysis and operational performance reporting while helping drive continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives across the Technology, Digital & Data function.

Role responsibilities:

Partner with senior leaders to provide commercial insights and support strategic decision-making.
n
Lead budgeting, forecasting,



reporting and performance analysis activities.
n
Develop business cases, financial models and investment evaluations.
n
Monitor project and capital expenditure performance, providing actionable recommendations.
n
Drive cost optimisation, process improvement and reporting enhancements.
n
Support contract and procurement decisions through commercial analysis.
n
Oversee offshore finance support resources and ensure delivery of key finance outcomes.
n

About you:

n

n
CA or CPA qualified with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
n
Solid commercial finance, financial modelling and business partnering capability.
n
Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and business case development.
n
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
n
Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and commercial outcomes.
n
Experience within technology, digital, IT or corporate environments will be highly regarded.
n
