We specialise in the construction, renovation and maintenance of high-quality natural grass and synthetic sports fields, including soccer pitches, AFL fields, baseball fields, running tracks, tennis & netball courts.Based in Doreen, our team delivers sports facilities for local councils, schools, and sporting clubs across Melbourne and Regional Victoria.What we offer:Competitive hourly rates with overtime availableSecure full time, permanent positionsTravel allowanceMonthly rostered days off (RDOs) as accruedAll tools, PPE and uniforms suppliedOngoing training & development opportunitiesKey ResponsibilitiesAssist in the construction, grading, and installation of natural turf and synthetic sports fields and sports surfaces.Operate or assist with machinery such as excavators, tractors, skid steers, rollers, compactors, and trenchersLaser levelling using specialised laser scoops and guidance systemsAssist in the installation of drainage systems, irrigation components, and base materialsSubgrade preparation including trimming, levelling, and compactionInstallation of stormwater drainage, trenching,



and pit worksRetaining wall constructionFollow construction plans and supervisor instructions accuratelyMaintain plant and equipment to high operational standardsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work workplace adhering to health, safety, and environmental procedures at all timesTravel to various project sites as requiredQualifications, Experience & AttributesMinimum 3-5+ years of machinery operation experience requiredValid tickets and demonstrated experience for operating Skid Steers, Excavators and Rollers.Experience operating tractors an advantage.Construction Induction Card (White Card)Working With Children Check (WWC)Current manual driver's licence (A current heavy/medium truck license would also be advantageous)Strong understanding of laser levelling and finished surface tolerancesAbility to follow plans, levels, and instructions accuratelyReliable, punctual and organised with clear communication skillsCapable of working both autonomously and within a crewStrong safety record and practical, safety-first approachFlexibility to work early starts, extended hours or weekends when projects requireWhy Join Victorian Sports Group?
