Loris H Hassall Trading Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated
Wastewater Operator
to join our team in Forbes, NSW. This is a full-time, hands-on role within our Wastewater Department, supporting the safe and efficient operation of our wastewater treatment systems and our broader hide-curing operations.
We are looking for someone who is safety focused, reliable, willing to learn and comfortable undertaking practical and manual work. Previous wastewater or industrial experience would be advantageous; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.
What you'll be doing
Operating and monitoring wastewater treatment equipment and systems
Collecting wastewater samples and completing required monitoring and records
Maintaining wastewater, clarifier, holding tank, filter press and collection pit levels
Monitoring treatment chemicals and ensuring adequate supplies are maintained
Assisting with environmental monitoring and compliance requirements
Completing weekly wastewater sheets and daily check sheets
Maintaining a clean, secure and organised Wastewater Department
Following company SOPs, WHS requirements and environmental procedures
Working collaboratively with the Wastewater and Hide Curing teams
Undertaking other reasonable duties as required by the Supervisor and/or Manager

Ability to perform repetitive tasks safety and methodically
Ability to follow instructions, procedures and safe work practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and time-management skills
Current drivers licence and reliable transport
Previous wastewater, manufacturing or industrial experience is advantageous but not essential
