Working within a large-scale enterprise technology environment, you will play a key role in designing, developing and supporting complex applications while helping to modernise and maintain core business platforms.n
nAs a Senior Software Developer, you will work across the full software development lifecycle, partnering with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The role offers a mix of greenfield development, system enhancement, application support and technical leadership within a collaborative delivery workplace.n
nThis role will particularly suit developers with experience in mainframe technologies, enterprise application development and large-scale government or corporate ICT environments.n
The Role
n
nWorking within a multidisciplinary delivery team, you will:n
n
n
Undertake analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance and support activities across enterprise applications.
n
Develop and implement high-quality software solutions aligned to business and technical requirements.
n
Translate complex business requirements into practical technical outcomes.
n
Define technical designs and contribute to solution architecture activities.
n
Support software releases, deployment activities and ongoing production support.
n
Collaborate with delivery teams, architects and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
n
Produce technical documentation, implementation artefacts and progress reporting.
n




Drive continuous improvement and contribute to development standards and best practices.
n
Assist with troubleshooting, issue resolution and support activities across critical systems.
n
Mentor team members and contribute technical expertise across the broader development team.
n
About You
n
nYou will be an experienced Software Developer with a robust background delivering enterprise-scale solutions within structured development environments. You will be comfortable working autonomously, engaging with stakeholders and navigating complex technical challenges.n
nYou will bring:n

Demonstrated experience across the software development lifecycle.
n
Strong software development experience within enterprise environments.
n
Experience working with mainframe technologies, including COBOL and/or Adabas Natural highly regarded.
n
Experience with object-oriented technologies such as Java or C#.
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
n
Experience producing technical documentation and design artefacts.
n
Knowledge of software release, deployment and application support practices.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
The ability to work effectively within agile and collaborative delivery environments.
n
