Build Something Exceptional.We're looking for a motivated apprentice to join our Staircase Division and learn the cabinetmaking trade while specialising in the manufacture and installation of high-end custom timber staircases.This isn't your typical apprenticeship.You'll be working out of our state-of-the-art factory, alongside some of the best timber tradespeople in the industry, learning how to manufacture premium staircases using modern CNC technology, including our Biesse Rover.You'll gain hands-on experience in the factory and on site, working with timber, metal and glass to produce staircases for high-end residential and commercial projects.WHAT YOU'LL LEARNManufacture and assemble custom staircase componentsTimber machining, cutting and assemblyCNC operation and productionOperating modern workshop machineryReading plans, drawings and shop drawingsPrecision measuring and setting outSanding, finishing and detailed timber workInstallation of staircases on siteWorking with timber, metal and glassSafe workshop and site practicesHow a premium staircase goes from a drawing to a finished installationWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWe're looking for someone who:Is genuinely interested in becoming a highly skilled tradespersonHas a strong work ethic and is willing to learnTakes pride in producing quality workHas valuable attention to detailIs punctual and reliableKeeps a clean and organised workshopFollows instructions and drawings carefullyTakes safety seriouslyCan work as part of a teamIs willing to get off the tools and learn every part of the processUnderstands that phones stay away when the work startsExperience in cabinetmaking, woodworking, carpentry or CNC is an advantage, but not essential.THE ROLEYou'll spend your time across both our factory and installation sites, giving you the opportunity to learn the full process rather than just one part of the trade.In the factory, you'll learn how to manufacture components accurately using traditional timberworking techniques and modern CNC machinery.On site, you'll work alongside our installation team to understand how everything comes together and how to deliver a finished staircase to a high standard.WHY DELKON?
