Looking for a Toolmaker role with plenty of variety?

We're recruiting an experienced Toolmaker to join a well-established Australian manufacturer, working within a six-person engineering and maintenance team supporting a large manufacturing site.

This is a hands-on role split between press tooling, machining and machinery maintenance - so you won't be stuck doing the same thing every day.
n
THE ROLE
n
Around *****% of the role is toolmaking, including:
n
n
Making current press tools and components from scratch
n
Repairing and modifying existing tooling
n
Surface grinding and sharpening
n
Turning and honing roll-forming rollers
n
Slotting and precision machining
n
CNC machining - Fanuc experience is a bonus
n
Working from AutoCAD drawings
n
n
The other *****% is hands-on machinery maintenance, including breakdowns, preventative maintenance and mechanical fault finding across production and roll-forming equipment.
n
You'll also need some basic hydraulic knowledge.

ABOUT YOU
n
We're looking for someone with:

Trade qualification as a Toolmaker
n
Strong press tooling experience
n
Surface grinding and sharpening experience
n
CNC machining experience
n
Good mechanical and fault-finding skills
n
A willingness to get involved with machinery maintenance
n
n
Roll-forming experience would be great, but isn't essential.
