An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to guide the delivery of a substantial programme of work for a major oil and gas client.
n
Based in Brisbane, you'll lead electrical engineering across a portfolio of projects supporting operating gas field infrastructure. This is a role for someone who enjoys staying close to detailed design while providing technical direction, planning team resources and working directly with the client.
What you'll do n
n
Lead the electrical engineering team across multiple projects within a long-term client programme.
n
Plan resources and priorities to meet design and delivery commitments.
n
Oversee detailed electrical design, technical reviews and engineering quality.
n
Work with the client to define scopes, resolve technical issues and support project delivery.
n
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on practical solutions for operating assets.
n
Mentor engineers and provide clear technical direction.
n

What you'll bring n
n
A degree in Electrical Engineering and substantial experience in consulting or project delivery.
n
Experience leading electrical design for oil and gas, mining or other heavy industrial facilities.
n
Strong knowledge of power distribution and electrical systems for operating assets.
n
The ability to manage competing project priorities and guide other engineers' work.
n
Confidence engaging directly with clients and communicating technical decisions clearly.
n
RPEQ registration, or eligibility to obtain it, would be highly regarded.
n
n
This is an opportunity to take ownership of electrical delivery on a major programme with a five-year client horizon, while remaining involved in the engineering and building solid client relationships.
