The Marist Brothers, Star of the Sea Province, is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who is looking to develop their skills, gain broad accounting experience and build a long-term career within a values-based organisation. Working closely with the Province Accountant and Business Services Manager, you will support a wide range of accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end processes, financial reporting, budgeting support and audit preparation.
Key responsibilities
Support accounts payable and receivable functions
Perform reconciliations
Assist with month-end processes
Assist with budgeting support
About you
A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
Currently studying towards, or intending to commence CPA, CA or equivalent professional studies
An early-career accounting professional with up to three years' experience
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems
A willingness to learn, grow and undertake professional development
An appreciation of, and commitment to, the values and mission of the Marist Brothers
Unrestricted right to work permanently in Australia




Hold or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check prior to employment
