Medical Receptionist - Full Time or Part Time n
We are looking for a smart, switched-on Medical Receptionist to join our North Sydney administration team. This is a busy and wide-ranging role, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being active, can manage competing priorities and doesn't become flustered when things get busy. Being able to prioritise, think ahead and stay calm is significant. We are looking for someone who can become a confident and reliable member of our team, with a long term view.
Key responsibilities n
n
Welcoming patients and providing a professional and friendly reception service
n
Managing a busy telephone line and front reception desk
n
Booking and coordinating appointments across multiple clinicians
n
Patient invoicing, payments and receipting
n
Managing referrals and patient information
n
Communicating with patients, GPs and other health professionals
n
Supporting doctors and allied health professionals with administrative requirements
n
Maintaining accurate patient records
n
General administration and data entry
n
Assisting other members of the administration team as required
n
About you n
n
Previous reception or administration experience
n
Smart, switched on and a quick learner
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to learn current systems and processes quickly
n
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
n
Ability to multitask and prioritise
n
Able to use initiative and think for yourself, but know when to ask for help
n
Ability to remain calm and professional when busy
n
Mature and professional approach
n
Genuine team mentality
n
Previous medical reception experience is preferred, particularly experience in a busy specialist or multidisciplinary practice

Sydney Endocrinology is a well-established and respected specialist medical practice located in North Sydney, close to the Mater Hospital. We have a large team of endocrinologists and allied health professionals, supported by a close-knit administration team who work together to provide a high standard of patient-centred care. We are a busy practice. Our reception team manages appointments, phones, patients, referrals, billing and a wide range of administrative requirements while supporting multiple clinicians. We work hard, but we also believe in creating a workplace where people enjoy coming to work and where everyone looks out for each other. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who works well with people.

We help each other, cover for each other when someone is away and share the workload when things get busy. We are looking for someone who naturally works this way too.
