Kirkham Building & Construction P/L is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as
Carpenter Apprentices
on a full time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in the building trades with a respected local construction company based in Camden, NSW. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work towards gaining a recognised qualification whilst developing practical skills and industry knowledge under the guidance of experienced tradespeople.
Key responsibilities
Assisting qualified carpenters in all aspects of carpentry work on residential and commercial projects
Learning and practising carpentry techniques including framing, joinery, installation and finishing work
Measuring, marking and cutting timber and other materials to specification
Preparing work areas, ensuring tools and equipment are maintained and used safely
Following health and safety procedures and site regulations at all times
Completing apprenticeship training modules and attending mandatory off-the-job training courses
Supporting the team in maintaining quality standards and project timelines
Developing practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail on various construction tasks
What we're looking for
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in carpentry and the building trades
School leaver or equivalent qualification (Year 10 or above preferred)
Strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to completing a multi-year apprenticeship
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from experienced tradespeople




Good communication skills and willingness to learn
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
A current or willingness to obtain a White Card (Construction Induction Certificate)
