Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a large corporate finance team, supporting month-end close, statutory and shareholder reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and external audit activities.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Complete month-end accounting including journals, intercompany eliminations and balance sheet reconciliations
n
Prepare statutory financial statements and support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
n
Assist with
IFRS financial statements
, accounting papers and technical accounting matters
n
Prepare audit working papers and support the external audit process
n
Assist with annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and tax effect workings
n
Support accounting policy updates, system improvements and process efficiencies
n
Contribute to broader finance and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Key Requirements n
n
3+ years' accounting or finance experience
within a medium to large corporate setting
n
Tertiary qualification in Accounting,



Commerce or similar
n
CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion
n
Knowledge of Australian and International Accounting Standards
n
Strong financial accounting, reporting and reconciliation experience
n
Intermediate to advanced
Excel
skills
n
Experience working with an ERP accounting system
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
n
Highly Regarded n
n
SAP FI
experience
n
Technical accounting exposure
n
Experience supporting statutory reporting and external audits
n
Experience mentoring or guiding junior finance team members
n
Initial
6-month contract with potential to convert to permanent
n
