About the Opportunity

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is partnering with a global leader in mining to source multiple Environmental Specialists / Technicians for positions across Central Queensland. These roles are being offered on an initial contract through to March ****, with the possibility of extension, primarily to support operations throughout the wet season.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring (primarily water sampling) in accordance with site and regulatory standards
n
Maintain and calibrate environmental monitoring and sampling equipment
n
Prepare and dispatch samples to accredited laboratories
n
Perform accurate data entry and validation, assisting with internal and external reporting
n
n
About You
n
n
Experience in environmental sampling and monitoring
n
Proven ability in the maintenance and calibration of environmental equipment
n
Current C Class Driver's Licence
n
Mine site water release experience
n
Coal mining experience with active Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
n
Environmental management qualification or relevant tertiary studies
n
Experience with sample preparation, dispatch, and data management
n
Ability to work autonomously in a field-based workplace (previous mine site driving experience highly regarded)
n
