Our client, a leading renewable energy developer/EPC delivering a national portfolio of utility-scale solar, battery storage (BESS) and substation projects, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer Lead – Civil to join their Engineering team.
About the role n
This senior role oversees civil/structural engineering execution across a multi-project renewable energy portfolio. You'll lead and develop a team of site-based Project Engineers, set the standard for quality and documentation across sites, and act as the key link between construction sites, subcontractors, clients and the design office.
Key responsibilities n
n
Develop portfolio-wide civil/structural execution strategies, standards and QA/QC procedures
n
Provide input on constructability, sequencing and temporary works; drive lessons-learned and continuous improvement
n
Act as SME in tender processes and oversee civil/structural works from pre-construction through to commissioning
n
Review and approve ITPs, NCRs, quality reports and as-built documentation
n
Lead, mentor and manage site-based Project Engineers,



including performance and training
n
Serve as senior client/stakeholder point of contact for civil/structural matters
n
Manage the portfolio view of engineering deliverables, milestones and risk
n
About you n
n
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's advantageous)
n
10+ years' civil/structural experience in
infrastructure/energy,
including utility-scale
solar/BESS/substation
projects
n
4+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity managing site engineers or construction-phase engineering
n
Solid working knowledge of Australian Standards (AS/NZS) and the National Construction Code
n
Experience with
foundations/piling,
earthworks, drainage, access roads, cable trenches and substation civil works
n
Demonstrated QA/QC leadership and contractor oversight during construction
n
