They have an established engineering team in Sydney and provide solid technical support, spare parts and ongoing product training.
The Role n
My client is looking for an experienced
Field Service Engineer
to support hospital and pathology laboratory customers across Sydney.
n
This is a
clinical field service role
focused on IVD and diagnostic equipment. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting equipment while managing customer requirements and urgent breakdowns.
n
Most customers are located across metropolitan Sydney, with occasional regional and interstate travel.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Service and maintain clinical diagnostic and IVD equipment
n
Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns
n
Complete preventative maintenance and calibration
n
Install and commission new equipment
n
Respond to urgent faults within hospitals and pathology laboratories
n
Manage service calls and customer priorities independently
n
Provide telephone and onsite technical support
n




Participate in an on-call roster approximately once every six weeks
n
Complete occasional regional and interstate travel
n
About You n
n
Must have an Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Automation, Instrumentation Engineering or similar
n
Field service experience with
IVD, clinical diagnostic or pathology equipment
n
Experience with
haematology, chemistry, immunology or similar clinical laboratory systems
n
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
n
Experience working within hospitals or pathology laboratories
n
Able to independently manage breakdowns and service calls
n
Understand the urgency of equipment failures within busy clinical laboratories
n
Strong customer service and communication skills
n
Comfortable participating in an on-call roster
n
Willing to undertake occasional travel and product training
n
