Primo Foods is seeking a Production Planner to join our Supply Chain team in Wacol. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing short, medium and long-term production plans to ensure customer demand is met while optimising inventory, capacity, yield and operational efficiency.

Working closely with Operations, Supply Planning, and site stakeholders, you'll play a key role in supporting service, cost and production objectives across the business.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Develop and maintain daily production plans aligned to the Master Production Schedule
n
Support service level targets through effective inventory management and adherence to inventory policies
n
Analyse the availability of raw materials, packaging and other critical inputs, adjusting plans to manage constraints
n
Manage daily raw material requirements and coordinate meat ordering to ensure continuity of production
n
Ensure production plans consider changeovers, inventory priorities, stock-on-hold processes, chiller stock management and machinery breakdown contingencies
n
Review production performance against plan, investigate variances and implement corrective actions where required
n
Monitor finished goods inventory levels and stock projections, escalating supply risks and shortages as appropriate
n
Review raw material and packaging yields, identifying opportunities to improve product recovery and minimise waste
n




Collaborate with Production Supervisors, Site Managers, Operations teams and Supply Planners to align production activities with business priorities and customer demand
n
Communicate production priorities, capacity constraints, inventory risks and operational issues while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
n
What You'll Bring n
n
Experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory management and/or material planning
n
Experience in a food manufacturing, FMCG or logistics environment highly desirable
n
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across operational and planning teams
n
Experience using ERP, MRP, planning and inventory management systems, with advanced Microsoft Excel capability
n
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy
