About the role
n
Communications plays a key role in helping our
communityunderstand
what the City is doing and why it matters. In this roleyou'll help inform, engage and connect residents, businesses andvisitors.
n
As part of our collaborative Marketing and Communications team,you'll plan and deliver communications, create content and manageday-to-day publishing across social media, website, EDMs and otherchannels. You'll also support campaigns, media activity,



events andcommunity initiatives and use audience insights to continuallyimprove our communications.
n
You'll work with teams across the organisation to communicate adiverse range of City projects and services, from communityprograms and local events to advocacy, sustainability and transportprojects.
n
Who we're looking for
n
We're looking for someone who loves finding the story behind aproject, turning complex information into clear, accessible contentand creating communications that people want to read.
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
n
the ability to translate complex information into clear,engaging and accessible content
n
demonstrated experience delivering communications acrossdigital and traditional channels
n
experience creating, publishing and maintaining contentacross websites, social media and e-newsletter platforms
n
experience preparing media content and supporting proactiveand reactive media activity
n
strong organisational and time-management skills with theability to manage competing deadlines
n
well-developed stakeholder engagement and
collaborationskills
n
photography and basic video-production experience
n
a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or arelated discipline
n
n
Experience in local government or another publicly
accountableenvironment
will be highly regarded.
n
