The role is based at a large underground hard rock operation in regional South Australia.
n
Site and roster highlights include:
n
n
2:2 roster - 7 days, 7 nights, followed by 14 days off
n
12-hour shifts
n
FIFO flights paid from major capital cities
n
High-quality camp facilities with ensuite rooms
n
Onsite gym, pool and wet mess
n
Telstra and Optus coverage
n
The Role n
As an Underground Heavy Diesel Fitter, you'll join the mobile maintenance team supporting a brand-new underground fleet.
n
The fleet includes:
n
n
Agitator trucks
n
Underground shotcrete rigs
n
Integrated tool carriers
n
Light vehicles
n
n
Your day-to-day duties will include:
n
n
Servicing and repairing underground mobile and fixed plant
n
Completing scheduled and preventative maintenance
n
Diagnosing faults and replacing components
n




Mechanical, hydraulic and basic auto-electrical fault finding
n
Attending breakdowns across the underground operation
n
Identifying and managing maintenance risks
n
Ensuring all work meets site safety and quality standards
n
Your Value n
You will hold an Australian-recognised heavy diesel, mobile plant or heavy vehicle trade qualification and have proven experience maintaining underground hard rock equipment.
n
To be considered, you must have:
n
n
Experience working on underground shotcrete rigs and/or agitator trucks
n
Current or recent underground hard rock mining experience
n
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
n
Mechanical, hydraulic and basic auto-electrical knowledge
n
A positive attitude and solid commitment to safety
n
Ability to complete a National Police Check and pre-employment medical
n
