Construction or Engineering Tradie – Train the Next Generation n
As a Trainer and Assessor, you will work with partner schools to deliver:
n
CPC***** Certificate II in Construction Pathways and/or
n
MEM***** Certificate II in Engineering Pathways and/or
n
CPCWHS**** Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card).
Key responsibilities n
n
Delivering practical and theory-based training to senior high school students
n
Coaching students and assessing their practical skills
n
Building strong relationships with students, teachers and school leaders
n
Setting clear expectations and managing your allocated schools professionally
n
Maintaining accurate training and assessment records
n
Working independently while contributing effectively as part of the Blue Dog Training team
n
Travel across Mackay and regional Central Queensland, potentially including Clermont, Capella and Blackwater
n
Travel to Brisbane approximately once every three months for professional development and team activities
n
About you n
n
A relevant trade qualification in construction or engineering
n
Strong practical experience within your trade
n
A genuine interest in helping young people develop their skills
n




Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
Positive digital literacy and the ability to learn current systems
n
The ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team
n
Eligibility to obtain a Queensland Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card)
n
Experience working with high school-aged students is advantageous
n
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly regarded but is not essential
n
Personal and business use of a company vehicle within reason
n
Eight weeks' leave each year
n
Company phone and laptop

Training, mentoring and ongoing professional development
