About the Role
n
MSS Security is seeking dedicated Casual Security Officers to join our team across hospital sites located in Melbourne's Southeast and CBD.
n
In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining a protected and secure environment for staff, patients, visitors and contractors. You will conduct regular patrols, monitor security systems, manage access control and respond professionally to security incidents and emergencies.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Patrol and monitor hospital premises to identify and respond to security risks.
n
Monitor CCTV and security systems and respond promptly to alarms, incidents and emergencies.
n
Manage access control and identification verification across hospital areas.
n
Respond to incidents involving patients, visitors, staff and contractors in a calm and professional manner.
n
Assist with managing disputes and challenging situations while maintaining a professional approach.
n
Liaise with hospital staff,



emergency services and Victoria Police when required.
n
Complete accurate incident reports and maintain appropriate security documentation.
n
Provide a high level of customer service to staff, patients and visitors.
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
n
Full Australian Working Rights.
n
Valid Victorian Security Licence.
n
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
n
Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
n
Availability to work a 24/7 rotational roster.
n
Previous security experience required.
n
Hospital or healthcare security experience is highly regarded.
n
Strong communication and customer service skills.
n
Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to incidents and challenging situations.
n
