The Role n
The ESD Consultant supports project leaders and manages the design and documentation of Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) services.
The Responsibilities n
n
Oversee and deliver design and documentation for various ESD projects, meeting varied requirements per project.
n
Carry out sustainable design assessments, calculations and studies in areas including energy efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions, water efficiency, indoor workplace quality, materials and stormwater pollution.
n
Prepare advice and propose solutions to sustainable design matters, to reduce the environmental impact of development projects.
n
Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
n
Attend and manage
project/client/site
meetings as required.
n
Allocate and monitor workloads of yourself and others, meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality documentation deliverables.




n
Liaise with authorities and suppliers.
n
Multi-disciplinary collaboration with other building design professionals.
n
Interpret relevant Australian standards and the Building Codes of Australia, ensuring your knowledge of these is comprehensively maintained.
n
Prepare sustainable design reports and documentation.
n
The Requirements n
n
Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or equivalent.
n
Experience in design and documentation within various sectors of the construction industry.
n
Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam and other ESD-specific software packages.
n
Knowledge of building codes and relevant standards.
n
Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise positively with key stakeholders.
n
Excellent time management, leadership and teamwork skills.
n
Creativity and analytical skills.
n
Strong client focus and the ability to work within or lead a project team.
n
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills (both internal and external).
n
