About the role n
Working closely with the Partner and Practice Manager, you will play an key role in the delivery of accounting and taxation services to our clients. You will also work alongside accountants and cadets within a collaborative team environment.
Key responsibilities n
n
Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
n
Preparation and reconciliation of BAS, IAS and other statutory obligations
n
Preparation of electronic workpapers through to review stage
n
General ledger reconciliations and maintaining supporting documentation
n




Assisting with client queries and developing professional client relationships
n
Identifying potential tax implications and assisting with solutions for clients
n
Liaising with the ATO and other agencies where required
n
Supporting workflow management and meeting lodgement deadlines
n
Assisting with reviewing bookkeeping and tax work where required
n
Providing guidance and support to junior team members where appropriate
n
About You n
n
2+ years experience in an Australian public practice firm
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce
n
Completed, studying toward or intending to undertake
CA or CPA
n
Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for SME clients
n
Experience using
Xero and MYOB
n
Strong Excel and general IT skills
n
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
n
Ability to manage competing deadlines and work proactively
n
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
n
