Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January ****.
Permanent Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight

Classification: Occupational Therapist Grade 1, Year 1 - 5 (VE8 - VF3)* plus super
The Team & Role
The Grade 1 Occupational Therapist participates in Peninsula Health's rotational program, completing 6-month rotations across inpatient acute, subacute, community, mental health and physical health settings. The role provides occupational therapy assessments and interventions that support patient independence, safe and effective discharge, and prevention of readmission, while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
The position is supported by the Deputy Head and Head of Occupational Therapy, Grade 2 Occupational Therapists,



regular clinical supervision, and structured learning and development opportunities. The program includes 11 clinical rotations, a Scope of Practice Passport, a dedicated Grade 1 Development Program, and monthly face-to-face learning opportunities to build confidence, competence, and professional capability. Skills & Experience Required
A keen interest and motivation to increase your occupational therapy skills in public health in physical and/or mental health settings
Current Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (via AHPRA).
Conducts evidence based practice and is committed to professional development.
Ability to be an effective team member within the occupational therapy and multidisciplinary team settings.
