After experiencing significant growth in our Senior School (Year 7-12), we are seeking an adaptable teacher to join our teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, fostering student engagement and contributing to the broader school community.

Key responsibilities

Teaching and Learning
n
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum across all key learning areas
n
Develop and implement differentiated learning programs to meet diverse student needs and abilities
n
Create inclusive classroom environments that support all learners, including students with additional needs
n
Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of assessment strategies
n
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students to support their learning growth
n
Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behaviour
n
Participate in curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation processes
n
Classroom Management
n
Establish and maintain positive classroom environments conducive to learning
n
Implement effective behaviour management strategies consistent with school policies
n
Ensure classroom safety and supervise students during class time and playground duties
n
Manage classroom resources and learning materials effectively
n
Student Wellbeing and Development
n
Build positive relationships with students that support their academic, social, and emotional development
n
Identify and respond appropriately to student welfare concerns following mandatory reporting requirements
n
Support students' social and emotional learning through explicit teaching and modelling
n
Encourage student voice and agency in their learning
n
Professional Collaboration and Communication
n
Work collaboratively with teaching colleagues, education support staff, and school leadership
n




Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing
n
Participate in parent-teacher interviews, school events, and community activities
n
Contribute to year level planning meetings and skilled learning communities
n
Professional Development
n
Engage in ongoing professional learning to enhance teaching practice
n
Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school planning days
n
Reflect on teaching practice and seek feedback for continuous improvement
n
Stay current with educational research and best practice methodologies
n
About you
n
Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
n
Show an understanding of and empathy towards the specific educational needs of people in a diverse rural community
n
Motivate students by always making your interactions with them relevant, challenging and enjoyable
n
Demonstrate a standard of excellence in your work practice
n
Demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing
n
Understand appropriate professional boundaries and responsibilities when working in a school
n
Demonstrate sound judgement, integrity, confidentiality and an ability to respond appropriately to child safety concerns
n
Communicate respectfully and effectively with children, families and colleagues
n
Demonstrate respect for diversity, inclusion and cultural safety

Satisfy all required child safety screening, referee checking, registration and Working with Children Check requirements
