You will ensure tasks assigned are carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard, and within food hygiene guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
Main Duties
n
n
Planning menus, estimating food and kitchen labour costs, ordering food supplies
n
Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
n
Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and wait staff
n
Supervising,



demonstrating techniques and advising cooking procedures to kitchen staff when necessary
n
Preparing and cooking food according to menu and for functions
n
Explain and enforce hygiene regulations
n
Assist in selecting and training kitchen staff
n
Freeze and preserve food when necessary
n
Skill & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have to:

Maintain a guest focus while performing duties
n
Responsibility for quality of products served.
n
Graciously and quickly fulfill any guest request possible
n
Complete opening and closing checklists.
n
Daily Preparation List at the start of each shift assigning duties.
n
Qualification
n
Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Experience
n
Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience
n
Extensive experience in similar position may substitute the formal qualifications
n
