SMT Technician / Programmer – Electronics Manufacturing

Allegro Services is an established Australian-owned electronics contract manufacturer based in Caringbah in Sydney's Sutherland Shire.
n
We are looking for a technically minded and reliable person to join our production team, with a primary focus on
programming, setting up and operating our SMT production line and AOI inspection equipment
.
n
This position would suit either an experienced SMT
technician/operator
or someone with a strong electronics and computer/technical background who has the aptitude and enthusiasm to learn.
n
Previous experience with our particular equipment is not essential. We are looking for someone with strong technical ability, attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and take ownership of the equipment they operate.

JUKI RS-1 SMT pick-and-place machine
n
Asscon vapour phase reflow system
Key responsibilities:
n
n
Creating and modifying SMT production programs
n
Programming, setting up and operating the JUKI RS-1 pick-and-place machine
n
Setting up and operating the GKG solder paste printer
n
Operating the Asscon vapour phase reflow system
n
Programming and operating the Koh Young AOI system
n
SMT component and feeder setup
n
Product changeovers and production setup
n
Monitoring production quality and identifying process issues
n
Troubleshooting machine, programming and production problems
n
Inspecting assembled PCBs and interpreting AOI results
n
Reading and working from PCB assembly documentation, BOMs and component information
n
Assisting with other electronics production activities when required
n
About you
n
Ideally,



you will have experience in SMT electronics manufacturing, automated production equipment, electronics or another relevant technical field.
n
However, we are also interested in applicants who may not have extensive SMT experience but can demonstrate strong technical ability and the capacity to learn complex equipment quickly.
n
You may have a background in electronics, computers, programming, automation, mechatronics, machine operation or electronics repair.
We are particularly interested in someone who:

Has strong computer and technical aptitude
n
Enjoys learning and understanding how equipment works
n
Has valuable logical and problem-solving skills
n
Is comfortable learning new software and machine programming
n
Has excellent attention to detail
n
Can troubleshoot problems rather than simply operate equipment
n
Takes pride in producing high-quality work
n
Can work independently once trained
n
Is reliable, organised and works well as part of a small production team
n
n
Previous experience with
SMT equipment, pick-and-place programming, AOI programming, PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing
will be highly regarded.
n
Experience with JUKI, Koh Young, GKG or Asscon equipment would be advantageous but is
not essential
.
What we offer

$32–$37 per hour + superannuation, depending on experience and capability
n
Monday to Friday, day shift
n
On-the-job training on our specific production equipment where required
n
