Ashfield Little Bunnies Day Care Centre is a long day care service in Ashfield, NSW, providing education and care for children from birth to school age. We are a small, close-knit team focused on quality care, solid family relationships and a warm learning environment.
The role n
We are seeking a full-time Child Care Worker to join our team permanently, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within centre operating hours.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Supervising and supporting children in daily activities, indoor and outdoor play, and rest periods
n
Assisting with the planning and delivery of age-appropriate educational programs consistent with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework
n
Attending to the physical needs of children, including feeding, nappy changing, toileting and hygiene
n
Monitoring and maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of children at all times
n
Observing and recording children's development and contributing to individual learning documentation
n
Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues,



and communicating with parents about their child's day and progress
n
Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of a clean, safe and stimulating learning environment
n
Supporting the implementation of centre policies and procedures, including child protection and behaviour guidance
n
Skill & Experience n
About you:
n
n
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher), or currently working towards it
n
A valid NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement)
n
Current First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management certification (or willingness to obtain)
n
Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
n
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
n
A genuine interest in the care and development of young children
n
