Injury Management / Return to Work Coordinator

n Our client, a major operation within the Phosphate Hill Mine, is seeking an experienced Injury Management / Return to Work Coordinator to join their team.
n This is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable professional who can effectively manage workers' compensation claims, injury management programs, and return-to-work outcomes in a fast-paced operational setting.

About the Role
n Reporting to the relevant Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, you will play a critical role in supporting injured workers, supervisors and key stakeholders through all aspects of injury management and rehabilitation.
n You will be responsible for ensuring compliant, practical and timely return-to-work outcomes while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement across the business.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manage occupational injury and rehabilitation cases from initial notification through to recovery and return to work.
n
Coordinate suitable duties programs and return-to-work plans.
n
Liaise with injured workers, supervisors, medical practitioners, rehabilitation providers and insurers.
n
Support the management of workers' compensation claims and rehabilitation activities.
n
Monitor claim progress and provide advice on recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
n
Conduct workplace assessments and identify barriers to successful return to work.
n
Ensure compliance with relevant Workers' Compensation and WHS legislation.
n




Investigate workplace injuries and incidents and contribute to preventative initiatives.
n
Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation and case records.
n
Provide coaching and guidance to leaders regarding injury management obligations and best practice.
n

About You To be successful, you will bring:
n
n
Previous experience as an Injury Management Advisor, Return to Work Coordinator or Rehabilitation Coordinator.
n
Demonstrated experience managing complex workers' compensation and rehabilitation cases.
n
Strong understanding of Queensland Workers' Compensation legislation and return-to-work processes.
n
Experience working with WorkCover, self-insurance programs or large employer injury management frameworks.
n
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
Ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
n
Strong problem-solving, influencing and case management capabilities.
n
A practical and collaborative approach to achieving sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
n

Highly Regarded
n
n
RTWC (Return to Work Coordinator) Certification.
n
Qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, Rehabilitation, Human Resources, Health Sciences or a related discipline.
n
Mining, heavy industry, construction, resources or industrial experience.
n
Experience investigating incidents and identifying injury prevention initiatives.
n
