Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer to lead the establishment, implementation and continuous improvement of test automation technologies, frameworks and practices across a portfolio of up-to-date digital solutions.
n
The role will support solutions including cloud-hosted platforms, mobile applications, CRM portals and web applications, with a strong focus on integrating automation into Agile delivery and DevOps processes.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Evaluate and recommend test automation technologies, frameworks, coding languages and automation strategies.
n
Design, develop and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
n
Develop automation covering both UI and backend/API components, with a strong focus on accessibility.
n
Establish standards for test code development and automation coding practices.
n
Write and maintain automated tests and supporting automation code.
n
Support in-sprint automation, acceptance criteria and Definition of Done.
n
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and Scrum delivery workflows.
n
Drive continuous improvement of automation testing practices.
n
Support the transition of legacy testing environments towards automation and DevOps practices.
n
Identify and manage risks and issues associated with automated testing.
n




Leverage AI tools and frameworks to improve testing and engineering efficiency.
n
Collaborate closely with Test Managers, Developers and other multidisciplinary delivery team members.
n
Key Technical Skills n
n
Deep hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright.
n
Strong experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
n
Hands-on experience with AI tools and frameworks, including Claude and specification-driven development approaches such as OpenSpec.
n
Strong experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including GitHub and Azure/Azure DevOps.
n
Experience developing automation for both UI and backend/API testing.
n
Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum and DevOps delivery practices.
n
What we are looking for: n
n
Expert hands-on technical proficiency in automation testing, test frameworks and CI/CD across a variety of tools and technologies.
n
Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, ownership and a proactive approach to delivery.
n
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or another relevant technical discipline.
n
7–9 years' experience in a senior automation testing role.
n
Strong hands-on expertise with AI tools and frameworks.
n
Demonstrated experience working within an Agile delivery model.
