Join a globally recognised underground mining principal with a strong safety-first culture and a genuine track record of developing long-term careers. This role puts you at a well-established, high-producing underground hard rock mine in North QLD with an estimated mine life of 20+ years. You'll work within a close-knit crew of around 8 electricians, get hands-on with a modern fleet of Sandvik, Normet and Komatsu equipment, and have genuine potential to move onto the principal's own books as roles become available.
About the Role n
You'll be working 100% underground, covering a broad scope of electrical work including:

n
****V reticulation and terminations
n
Production drill rig servicing and breakdowns
n
Maintenance and installation of pumps, fans and vents
n
Relocation and installation of jumbo boxes and pump starters
n
Leaky feeder communication system installs and maintenance
n
AutoMine installs and networking
n
Testing, tagging, statutory checks and audits
n
n
For those ticketed, there's also scope for 11kV reticulation, substation maintenance and HV switching work.

Open to candidates current to mining - provided you have sufficient industrial electrical experience

About You n
n
Current driver's licence (manual experience required for site LVs)
n
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
n
Ability to fault-find and problem-solve autonomously
n
Mining or industrial experience
n
Can-do attitude and willingness to learn
n
Advantageous n
n
Underground hard rock mining equipment knowledge
n
Drill servicing and breakdown experience
n
HV switching tickets
n
Personal Qualities n

Ability to work well under pressure, in a team and autonomously

Proven teamwork and ability to get on well with others
