Job Description
Good Nature Hotel has recently undergone a renovation and we're looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team.This is a hands-on role for someone who can confidently support the Head Chef, lead the kitchen team and maintain high standards across every service.You'll be organised and proactive during prep, while having the ability to go from 0 to 100 when service kicks off. You'll remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly and help set the pace for the team during busy, high-volume services.What you'll be doing:Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day operation of the kitchenLead, motivate and develop the kitchen teamRun service and maintain consistency, speed and presentationAssist with stocktakes, ordering, stock rotation and wastage controlSupport rostering, kitchen administration and cost managementMaintain strong food safety, hygiene and cleaning standardsEnsure food is prepared, stored and served in line with food safety requirementsAssist with training,



performance management and team communicationStep into the Head Chef's responsibilities when requiredWhat we're looking for:Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen leaderA robust, confident and supportive leadership styleExperience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchenSomeone who can anticipate what needs to be done and take ownershipStrong understanding of food safety, allergen management and kitchen
complianceExperience
with stock control, stocktakes and kitchen
administrationCalm,
