Residential Framing and Fit-out CarpenterJob Type: Permanent position | Full time positionJob DescriptionJob description: 5+ years hands-on carpentry preferred, including at least 3 years residential timber framing.
Read architectural, structural and truss drawings; accurately set out work from plans.Wall framing: plates, studs, noggings, lintels/LVLs, door/window openings, bracing and tie‐downs.
Able to erect, straighten, square, plumb and brace wall frames to a high workmanship standard.
Roof trusses: set out and erect trusses, girder/jack trusses, bracing, battens, fascia/eave framing and tie‐downs.Doors/windows: install jambs, hinged doors, entry doors, cavity/sliding doors, windows, locks, handles and hardware.
Fix‐out: architraves, skirting, window reveals and general finishing carpentry.




Competent with circular/mitre saws, nail guns, drills, impact drivers, laser levels and standard carpentry tools.Accurate metric measurement, quality control, secure work practices and ability to work with minimal supervision.
HIGHLY PREFERRED Australian/NZ timber framing experience or knowledge of NCC and AS .Leading‐hand experience and ability to organise another carpenter/labourer.
Renovation, cladding, eaves/soffits, decking or stair experience.
English sufficient for drawings, site instructions, safety and reporting issues.
