BluGlass in Sydney is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer to assist in the process development and operation of cutting‐edge remote plasma chemical vapour deposition (RPCVD) and metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) equipment for fabrication of thin film semiconductors for visible laser diode applications.
Key responsibilities n
Assist in the development and operation of RPCVD and MOCVD equipment and process for GaN‐based semiconductor materials and device development
n
As a member of the core technology team, you will contribute to the innovation of GaN‐based laser device structures including developing optimised processes and designs of experiment
n
Assist in device and materials characterisation and analysis using state‐of‐the‐art characterisation equipment (XRD, SEM, AFM, Hall Effect, Photoluminescence,
Electroluminescence)
n
Provide written reports and standard operating procedures
About you n
Minimum Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science field (Physics, Chemistry, Material Science)
n
Recent Master's or PhD graduates in an Engineering or Science field (Physics, Chemistry, Material Science) strongly encouraged to apply
n
Knowledge of semiconductor device design (LEDs, Laser Diodes,



Solar Cells, Transistors) is highly desirable
n
Experience with high vacuum (HV) or ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) equipment is highly desirable
n
Cleanroom working environment experience
n
Hands–on thin film deposition equipment experience a plus
n
MOCVD experience is highly desirable but not necessary
n
Able to work in a highly collaborative and diverse team workplace
n
Excellent analytical, organisational, planning and problem‐
solving/troubleshooting
skills
