We're looking for an experienced
Purchasing Specialist
who is organised, proactive and commercially minded and takes real ownership of keeping purchasing, stock, suppliers and freight moving.
WHAT'S THE ROLE? n
The outcome is straightforward:

The right product. The right stock level. The right price. The right place. The right time.

You'll work closely with
Sales and Customer Service
, becoming an important link between customer demand, inventory, suppliers and freight.
n
Your key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Monitoring and maintaining Min/Max stock levels across the product range.
n
Planning and ordering stock to support customer demand.
n
Purchasing products required for specific sales orders.
n
Checking orders, quantities, supplier pricing and expected delivery dates.
n
Reviewing
customer backorders
and taking action to get them resolved.
n
Following up suppliers for availability, supply issues and accurate ETAs.




n
Working closely with Sales and Customer Service to resolve stock and customer-order issues.
n
Managing supplier pricing structures and communicating price movements.
n
Sourcing products in response to customer and sales requirements.
n
Organising inbound freight and deliveries.
n
Coordinating freight and delivery for drop-ship orders.
n
Identifying potential stock, supply and delivery problems early and taking action.
n
Keeping the team informed so customers receive accurate information and great service.
n

You don't wait until someone asks:
n
"Where's that order?"
n
If a customer order is sitting on backorder, you want to know
why, when it's coming and what can be done about it.
n
If a supplier hasn't confirmed an order, you pick up the phone.
n
If freight hasn't arrived, you call the freight company and find out where it is.
n
If Sales needs a product sourced, you investigate the options, understand the price, availability and freight, and help find the best commercial solution.
n
You're not someone who simply processes purchasing transactions.
n
You take ownership.
