Joshi Lawyers is seeking a talented and experienced
Solicitor with 2-5+ years post-qualification experience (PQE)
to join our dynamic legal team. This is a
full-time position
based in our
South Yarra, VIC office
. In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal services across multiple practice areas including Family Law, Commercial Law, Litigation, and Property Law. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality advice to our diverse client base whilst contributing to the growth and success of our firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile solicitor seeking to develop expertise across varied legal disciplines within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities n
Provide strategic and pragmatic legal advice to clients across Family Law, Commercial Law, Litigation, and Property Law matters
n
Draft, review and negotiate legal documents, agreements and contracts relevant to client matters
n
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and client advice
n
Manage client relationships professionally, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring timely communication
n
Prepare and file legal documents with relevant courts and regulatory bodies in accordance with procedural requirements
n
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings where appropriate
n
Assist with property transactions, including conveyancing and due diligence processes
n




Support the resolution of commercial disputes through litigation and alternative dispute resolution methods
n
Contribute to the development and maintenance of legal precedents, templates and knowledge resources
n
Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervise junior legal staff as required
What we're looking for n
A minimum of 2-5+ years post-qualification experience in legal practice
n
Proven expertise and experience in Family Law, Commercial Law, Litigation, or Property Law
n
Strong legal research, writing and drafting capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
n
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues
n
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters efficiently whilst meeting deadlines
n
Sound judgment and the capacity to provide commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice
n
Professional conduct standards and commitment to ethical practice as outlined by legal regulators
n
Proficiency with LEAP (highly regarded) and Microsoft Office applications
n
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships
n
Experience in dispute resolution, negotiation or alternative dispute resolution methods (preferred)
n




Admission as a solicitor in Victoria or ability to obtain admission (essential)
