About the Position n
This newly available Finance Manager opportunity has arisen as part of a planned leadership transition within the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Finance & Corporate Services, the role will take ownership of ACSI's day-to-day finance function while leading a small team and partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Offered on a 0.6 FTE basis (22.5 hours per week), the position combines technical accounting, financial control, reporting, team leadership and business partnering responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in month‐end reporting, budgeting, forecasting,



compliance and financial decision‐making, while maintaining strong relationships with external advisors and service providers.

Given the size of the organisation, this is a genuinely hands‐on role where you'll remain involved in both the preparation and review of financial information while helping develop finance processes, systems and capability across the team.

Duties n
n
Lead the day-to-day finance function, including management accounting and financial control
n
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management reporting, analysis and commentary
n
Coordinate annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
n
Prepare statutory financial statements and manage the external audit process
n
Oversee tax compliance, including BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax and related reporting obligations
n
Manage payroll governance, reconciliations and relationships with external providers
n
Monitor cash flow forecasting and support AFSL financial resource requirements
n
Partner with the Executive Management Team on budgeting, reporting and business performance matters
n
Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, insurers and other external stakeholders
n
Lead, mentor and develop two finance team members while building capability across the function
n
Support continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting processes and controls
n




Assist with governance, compliance and finance-related projects as required
n
About You n
To be successful in this role, you will be a technically strong and hands‐on finance professional who enjoys operating in a collaborative, high-accountability environment. You will be comfortable balancing strategic responsibilities with day‐to‐day financial management while partnering effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

You will have:
n
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting and finance roles
n
Strong financial and management accounting capability
n
Experience managing month‐end reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes
n
Strong tax knowledge and understanding of compliance obligations
n
Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero or similar accounting systems
n
Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop team members
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
n
Experience within investments, superannuation or member-based organisations will be highly regarded but not essential
n
Exposure to Tax Mutuality Principle, AFSL reporting, or Modern Slavery reporting will be advantageous
n
Genuine flexibility with a 0.6 FTE permanent arrangement
