The Role /n

Current Direction Care is looking for an engaging and friendly Short Order Cook/ Cafe Assistant to join our team at our aged care residence at Bellmere. Working in our Café you will be capable in all aspects of operating a café and providing services to our residents, visitors, our team and our local community.

What This Role Involves /n

/n
Short order cooking and food preparation.

/n
Barista duties – making a variety of coffees in a timely manner.

/n
Customer service - serving our residents, staff and external customers

/n
Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas.

/n
Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices.

/n
Fast, effective service throughout busy periods.

/n




Getting to know our residents and their needs, capabilities, likes + dislikes.

/n

What we require from you /n

/n
Previous experience in food preparation is a must .

/n
Barista experience is an advantage, but not essential

/n
Self-motivated and able to work well alone and in a team.

/n
A motivated, enthusiastic and positive 'can-do' attitude.

/n
Ability to work in a rapid-paced time-sensitive workplace.

/n
Pride in personal appearance & hygiene.

/n
Must be available for weekend work

/n
