We’re looking for an experienced Senior HSEQ Advisor to join our Mackay team and play a key role in strengthening our safety culture, supporting operational teams and driving continuous improvement across HSEQ.

The Chance /n

As a Senior HSEQ Advisor, you’ll work closely with operational leaders and workers to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure HSEQ standards are consistently maintained.

You’ll provide practical advice, coaching and support across a range of HSEQ initiatives, while identifying opportunities to improve safety performance, compliance and operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities /n

Support the development and implementation of HSEQ strategic and tactical plans.

/n
Coach and mentor operational teams on HSEQ processes, tools and responsibilities.

/n
Support consultation and participation processes across the business.

/n
Develop and review risk assessments, procedures and Secure Work Procedures with Operations.

/n
Conduct workplace inspections and internal audits, supporting external audits where required.

/n




Deliver HSEQ training and support teams with tools including risk assessments and Permit to Work.

/n
Lead critical incident investigations and support other incident investigations as required.

/n
Develop HSE Alerts and share key learnings to drive continuous improvement.

/n
Analyse HSEQ trends and statistics and report on key performance indicators.

/n
Support initiatives focused on preventing workplace injuries, illness and environmental incidents.

/n
Attend HSEQ, toolbox and customer meetings as required.

About You /n

We’re looking for an experienced HSEQ skilled who can build strong relationships across operational environments and provide practical, solutions-focused advice.

/n

You will ideally have:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a generalist HSEQ role, preferably within transport or logistics.

/n
Strong experience conducting and leading incident investigations.

/n
Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, Chain of Responsibility, road safety and environmental requirements.

/n
Strong communication and report writing skills.

/n
