The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for planning, organising and controlling the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure productive service, strong operational performance, excellent customer service and compliance with applicable food safety and workplace requirements.

Key responsibilities /n

Manage restaurant operations and plan and organise restaurant services and functions

/n
Consult with chefs regarding menu planning

/n
Arrange purchasing and pricing of goods in accordance with budgets

/n
Monitor stock levels, inventory and financial transactions

/n
Manage operational costs and wastage

/n
Maintain appropriate restaurant records and assist in achieving financial and operational objectives

/n
Ensure dining and service facilities are clean, functional and compliant with health and food-safety requirements

/n
Monitor the quality of food and customer service

/n
Communicate with customers and respond to feedback

/n
Select, train, supervise and develop restaurant staff, prepare and manage staff rosters, allocate duties and monitor staff performance

About you /n

/n




Minimum of three years of relevant experience in restaurant management or a closely related hospitality management position

/n
A relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management or a related discipline is highly regarded

/n
Strong leadership and people-management abilities

/n
Experience with restaurant operations, staff rostering, stock control, purchasing and cost management

/n
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements

/n
Excellent customer-service and communication skills

/n
Ability to work effectively in a busy restaurant workplace

/n
Strong organisational, problem-solving and time-management abilities

/n
Capability to work collaboratively with chefs, kitchen employees and front-of-house staff

/n
Flexibility to work according to restaurant operating requirements, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where required
