We are a well-established Chartered Accounting firm based in the heart of Southport. We genuinely pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive culture that values life outside of work. We are now seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities /n
/n
Tax Compliance: Prepare and lodge Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS) for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
/n
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports for a diverse portfolio of clients.
/n
Client Advisory:
Assist senior team members in providing high-quality tax planning and compliance advice.
/n
Data Management: Review and reconcile client accounting data using up-to-date cloud platforms.
/n
About You (Key Qualifications & Qualities) /n
/n
Qualifications: Degree-qualified in Accounting, and currently studying towards or fully completed your CA or CPA qualification.
/n
Experience: Proven hands-on experience working on the job as a Tax Accountant within a public practice accounting firm.
/n
Software Familiarity: Solid working knowledge of major online accounting software packages, including Xero, Quick Books Online, and MYOB, alongside practice management software (such as APS).
/n
Location: Living in or near Southport, QLD, allowing you to enjoy a seamless daily commute to our central office.
/n
Attributes: Solid communication skills, a proactive attitude towards professional development, and an excellent eye for detail.
