Job Description /n

DG Construction (De Goey Contractors Pty Ltd) are currently seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Painter to join their team in Paget QLD. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

/n

/n
Surface preparation of steel for painting, safely using chemicals and a range of hand tools

/n
Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings.

/n
Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns

/n
Knowledge of various painting methods and applications

/n
Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications.

/n
Ability to read and interpret blueprint, sketches and drawings

/n




Protected operation of tools and equipment

/n
Grinding, sanding and polishing of steel

/n
Understanding of painting, caulking and sealing and putting them in to practice

/n
Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods

/n

/n

Skills & Abilities:

/n

/n
Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or relevant

/n
Ideally have 3 years’ experience within relevant or similar field

/n
Ability to work in a team workplace

/n

/n

Salary range is $75,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience Full time Position available Applications open on 8th September 2026 and closes on 8th October 2026
