Job Description

As a Doggy Daycare Teacher, no two days will be exactly the same! You'll be responsible for helping create a protected, positive and enjoyable environment for our dogs while also helping keep the daycare running smoothly.
Key responsibilities n
n
Supervising groups of dogs during play and rest periods
n
Confidently managing groups of dogs, potentially supervising up to 30 dogs at a time
n
Monitoring dog behaviour, body language and interactions
n
Managing play appropriately and stepping in when necessary
n
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every dog in our care
n
Providing plenty of attention, enrichment and positive interaction
n
Helping with cleaning and general daycare routines
n
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised daycare environment
n
Greeting customers during drop-off and pick-up
n
Communicating professionally and warmly with dog owners
n
About you n
n
Has a genuine love and passion for dogs
n
Is confident handling and working around dogs of different sizes, breeds and personalities
n




Can confidently supervise a large group of dogs and remain calm in a busy environment
n
Has a good understanding of dog behaviour and body language — or is eager to learn
n
Is physically capable of being active and on their feet throughout the day
n
Is friendly, well-spoken and has great manners when interacting with customers
n
Works well as part of a team or individually and is comfortable receiving and acting on feedback
n
Is reliable, punctual and takes responsibility for their work
n
Can follow instructions, procedures and safety guidelines
n
Is willing to learn and develop their knowledge of dogs and daycare operations
n
